How would I be able to find an alcohol rehabilitation program in Sacramento, California?
My husband has always turned to alcohol whenever he has problems. Lately, though, it has become a habit. Fortunately, he has seen what he has done to himself, and now admits that his alcohol-drinking has gotten out of hand. He's willing to get treatment now. We live in Sacramento, California. I just want to know how I could find an alcohol rehabilitation program for him.

- You could try calling help hotlines. They will have counselors ready to talk to you about your husband's addiction to alcohol. They will also help you find the right alcohol rehabilitation center in your area where you can bring your husband to. Try dialing 800-559-9503. Best of luck to you and your husband!
- I feel for him I had the same problem until I was admitted to hospital and slipped into a coma for four weeks under heavy morphine and life support due to a ruptured pancreas brought on by drinking. Its only cuz I wasnt concious while I was withdrawing that I was able to do it. The withdrawal is unbearable if you are awake . Im now teetotal, and have been for a year, and ive never felt better alcohol is a horrible drug. It took three weeks for the alcohol to leave my system. that would have been three weeks of hell if id been awake. I dont know how far gone your husband is but I hope he is not as far gone as I was , like drinking every waking hour or you get the shakes and really bad depression. I dont live in your country but I wish you and your husband painless recovery. Tell him from me, it gets worse if you dont stop. drink lots of water and take multivitamins. But if he turns to drink for his worries it only momentarily solves them by fuzzing your mind for a while , but those worries are magnified afterwards. Giving up was my hardest achievement in life and it was achieving being normal again. But I wish him the very best of luck but do get help you cant do it on your own always.
