What is there to do in Sacramento besides a Sacremento Kings Game?

I'm traveling to Sacramento on a buisness meeting and i have to stay there for a week. I'm from New Jersey so I don't have a car so i can't drive out to San Fransico unless i take a bus. So what is there to do in Sacremento?

  1. well visit old Sacramento the California state railroad museum is there sometimes (usually on weekends you can hop a train ride (watch out it will be robbed!) as is wells Fargo history did you know that Sacramento was the starting point for the pony express? there also the state capital (I think there even a tour ) not sure if you see the governator though) there is also train service (on Amtrak to Oakland there is also a wonderful restaurant on paddlewheel boat that is docked along the waterfront good food you could rent a bicycle and bike along the american river trail
  2. go clubbing ,to a movie ,go to old sac ,take a river cruse .
  3. Sign up for a tour of the wine country. There are some great wineries not far away in Amador County. This is the California Gold Rush Country. You'll find small historic towns, antique shops, Sierra Nevada cavers to explore in addition to the wineries. http://www.cheers2wine.com/Amador-County-wineries.html
  4. I always fight Russians at the river. To get to San Francisco just take Amtrak to Richmond and BART from Richmond into the city. It takes like an hour & 1/2.
  5. Travelmaster is correct. I have lived throughout the state and his suggestions are the best. Do not miss the California State Railroad Museum; it is one of the finest railroad museums in the world. Last time I went to Frisco, I just got hit up by streeters for spare change so they could buy drugs and booze. It ain't what it used to be.
  6. Take Amtrak to Richmond, and BART from Richmond to San Francisco.
