California Public Utilities Commission announces new filings for August 18–22, 2025

Each week, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) releases new filings that affect utility services and policy in the state. For the week of August 18–22, 2025, several key proceedings were added or updated.

Among the proposed decisions open for public comment is a filing in Proceeding A23-03-003. The proposed decision grants compensation to The Utility Reform Network for its substantial contribution to Decision 24-06-024. Another proposed decision in Proceeding A22-05-002 et al. denies a Petition for Modification of Decision 22-12-009.

New complaints and applications have also been filed. In Proceeding A25-08-009, Southern California Gas Company and Lakeside Pipeline LLC have submitted an application seeking a reasonableness review of costs incurred during the Lakeside: Maas Energy Works Senate Bill (SB) 1383 Dairy Biomethane Pilot Project.

Proceeding A25-08-010 involves the City of Oceanside requesting authority to construct a pedestrian underpass trail at Loma Alta Creek as part of the Loma Alta Slough Wetlands Enhancement Project, pending commission approval.

Two complaints against Pacific Gas and Electric Company have been filed. In Proceeding C25-08-011, Minturn Nut Company has raised concerns regarding service adequacy and associated charges. In Proceeding C25-08-012, Rebecca Flores, Trustee on behalf of The Cytah Flores Legacy Trust, has filed a complaint related to service and billing issues.

The CPUC encourages public participation by allowing written comments on any proposed decision through its Docket Card system. Interested parties can also subscribe to specific proceedings using their numbers to receive updates and notices.
