A road trip through Southern California is being promoted as a way for music fans to enhance their Coachella experience. The suggested itinerary starts in San Diego, moves through Greater Palm Springs for the festival itself, and ends in Los Angeles.

San Diego is recommended as the starting point, with visitors encouraged to stay at the Lafayette Hotel in North Park. Activities include exploring Balboa Park, which has more than 16 museums and performing arts venues, and visiting the San Diego Zoo. Festival-goers can prepare by making or buying flower crowns at Native Poppy and shopping for vintage clothing in North Park. Breakfast Republic and Donut Bar are highlighted as notable places to eat.

In Greater Palm Springs, the focus shifts to Coachella. Attendees are advised to download the official festival app for maps, food options, lost-and-found services, and updates. For accommodation, The Saguaro Palm Springs Hotel is suggested for its pool parties during the festival. Other activities include viewing art installations from Desert X and hiking in Joshua Tree National Park. Dining options range from Birba’s patio pizzas to In-N-Out Burger.

The final stop is Los Angeles, where The Hoxton hotel offers rooftop amenities and occasional large events. Visitors can try stand-up paddleboard yoga with Yogaqua in Marina Del Rey before departing. Shopping on Abbot Kinney Boulevard near Venice Beach is also recommended. Dining choices include Chi Spacca for meat dishes and Gracias Madre for vegan cuisine.

This itinerary aims to help travelers make the most of their time before, during, and after attending Coachella.
