Registration is now open for members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) to attend the 55th International Convention of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU). The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, located at 265 Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia.

The CBTU Convention gathers trade unionists from around the United States to discuss key issues facing labor. At last year’s convention, IAM members participated in workshops on organizing, conflict resolution, leadership development, building power, and sharing strategies aimed at strengthening both their union and the wider labor movement.

A special group room rate has been arranged for attendees at $185 per night plus applicable taxes at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Reservations must be made by April 24, 2026, to secure this rate. A one-night credit card deposit is required when booking a room; this deposit is refundable if canceled by April 15, 2026. After April 24, reservations will be subject to availability and may be offered at higher rates.

The official CBTU booking link is recommended for hotel reservations. Alternatively, IAM members can reserve rooms by calling 1-877-803-7534 and referencing “CBTU,” though online booking remains preferred.
