Today marks Giving Tuesday, an annual event encouraging charitable giving and community support following Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines (GDA | TLC), a charity supported by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), has launched its Holidays of Hope fundraiser.

The organization is calling for donations to help provide service dogs to those in need. According to GDA | TLC, contributions made today will assist military veterans with PTSD, individuals who are blind or visually impaired, and children with autism.

“Each donation you make today will directly benefit a military veteran with PTSD, a person who is blind or visually impaired, or a child with autism who needs the life-changing confidence, love, and hope that a service dog provides,” the organization stated.

Supporters are encouraged to donate as part of this global day of giving.
