The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Retirees and Membership Assistance Department announced on Apr. 7 that it is now accepting registrations for the upcoming Retirees Assistance Program, which will take place from June 14 to 19, 2026, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland.

The program aims to provide IAM retirees with essential resources and knowledge to help them manage the specific challenges and opportunities that come with retirement.

According to the department, participants will have access to a variety of educational sessions addressing important topics such as elder abuse awareness, mental health, self-care practices, senior addiction issues, healthcare navigation strategies, and volunteer opportunities. The curriculum also includes courses on finding community resources, understanding dementia, financial planning and asset protection methods, considerations for senior housing options, preparing for medical appointments, sensitivity training sessions, and advance directives guidance.

Details about tuition costs, transportation arrangements and course content are included in the official call letter released by IAM leadership.

The department encourages interested retirees to register soon as they prepare for another session aimed at supporting members during their retirement years.
