IAM retirees recently gathered at the IAM Retirees Conference to discuss their experiences and offer advice to current members. The event focused on reflections from former active members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), who spoke about the values that guided their work.

The retirees emphasized the importance of continuing involvement in union activities. They shared lessons learned over their careers, highlighting the ongoing need for dignity, fairness, and strong contracts in the workplace.

Their collective message to current IAM members was direct: “get involved, stay engaged, and keep organizing.”

The conference underscored the role that experienced members play in guiding newer generations within labor organizations.
