Lockheed Martin, PG&E Corporation, Salesforce, and Wells Fargo have announced the formation of EMBERPOINT LLC, a new venture aimed at improving wildfire prevention, detection, and response across the United States. The initiative seeks to provide first responders with advanced technologies that can detect fires earlier and improve coordination in firefighting efforts.

EMBERPOINT will combine artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and integrated command-and-control technologies to help agencies and utilities respond more quickly to wildfires. By leveraging proven systems without requiring users to invest in development costs, the partnership aims to make state-of-the-art wildfire prevention tools more accessible and affordable for communities.

Lockheed Martin is contributing its expertise in prediction, detection, and military-grade autonomous response capabilities. This includes technologies designed to enable firefighters to identify potential wildfires early and take action before they spread.

PG&E Corporation’s subsidiary Pacific Gas and Electric Company will offer its experience in wildfire mitigation and risk management programs across various communities. Any contributions or information from Pacific Gas and Electric Company are subject to regulatory approval.

Salesforce is providing the digital infrastructure for EMBERPOINT by integrating multiple data streams into a unified platform using Agentforce and Slack. This will support real-time coordination among organizations during wildfire events.

Wells Fargo is supporting the project through capital investment.

Jim Taiclet, Chairman, President and CEO of Lockheed Martin said: “It’s time to change the way we think about wildfires and bring the best of American technology and know-how to this growing threat to lives and property. Devastating wildfires are on the rise and this new partnership brings four leading companies in the aerospace, electrical power, tech, and financial industries together to address this national problem. Building on Lockheed Martin’s leading-edge capabilities in space and ground-based sensing systems, autonomous air and land drones, and command and control systems, EMBERPOINT aims to combine these skills along with those of our partners to address what is a true national security mission.”

Patti Poppe, CEO of PG&E Corporation stated: “This partnership underscores our commitment to ending catastrophic wildfires. We plan to seek regulatory approval to pair Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s on-the-ground experience with our partners’ advanced technology, and properly scale how we identify risk, prevent incidents, and protect the people and ecosystems we serve for the benefit of all society—while staying fully focused on providing safe and reliable energy to our customers. Today’s announcement marks the next step in a broader, multi-phase effort to end catastrophic wildfires.”

John Somorjai, Chief Corporate Development and Investments Officer at Salesforce commented: “Agentforce and Slack are powerful tools that can be used to solve the most pressing challenges. We look forward to integrating our world-class AI capabilities with the specialized expertise of our partners to combat the escalating threat of wildfires.”

The team behind EMBERPOINT plans further development over coming months with demonstrations targeted for 2026.
