Public hearing set for renewal of Aspire Capitol Heights Academy and SAVA charters

A public hearing has been scheduled by the Sacramento City Unified School District to consider the renewal requests for the charter petitions of Aspire Capitol Heights Academy and Sacramento Academic and Vocational Academy (SAVA). The hearing will take place on September 18, 2025, during an open session beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Serna Educational Center, located at 5735 47th Avenue in Sacramento.

Community members are invited to review copies of the submitted charter petitions. These documents are available online through the district’s website at https://www.scusd.edu/departments/dso/innovative-schools-and-charter-oversight/charter-renewal-and-submission or can be inspected in person at the Serna Educational Center.
