The City of Sacramento’s Incident Management Team (IMT) handled 588 calls for service last week, focusing on assisting people experiencing homelessness. The IMT responded to 594 different locations between February 23 and March 1, offering support such as shelter options and ensuring adherence to city laws.
A notable development occurred at the Roseville Road Service Campus, where the expanded tiny home village for individuals experiencing homelessness reached half of its available capacity. This milestone is part of the city’s larger effort to increase shelter resources and provide more stable housing options.
Outreach workers from the Department of Community Response continue daily efforts along the Northern Bike Trail and in neighborhoods throughout Sacramento. Their work includes connecting unsheltered residents with shelter placements, behavioral health care, case management, and other supportive services.
The expansion at Roseville Road is a component of Sacramento’s strategy to address homelessness by increasing shelter capacity, conducting ongoing outreach, and creating pathways toward stable housing.
Key activities during this period included responding to 311 service requests related to homelessness concerns. Data also indicated ongoing efforts regarding outreach, shelter availability as of March 3, environmental services, and additional support measures.
