Sacramento City Unified School District announced on March 18 that it will hold a community meeting on April 8 to discuss the search for a new principal at Hubert Bancroft Elementary. The meeting is scheduled from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

The district is inviting parents, staff, and community members to provide feedback on the qualities they would like to see in the next principal. According to the announcement, participants can complete a Principal Search Feedback Form by April 10 at 5:00 p.m. The information collected will be used to help shape interview questions during the hiring process.

In addition, those interested in being more directly involved can apply to serve on the Principal Interview Panel. To do so, individuals must fill out a Request for Participation on Administrator Selection Panel form and submit it to Enrique Flores at enrique-flores@scusd.edu by April 10 at 5:00 p.m.

The district said these steps are intended to ensure that community voices are included in selecting leadership for Hubert Bancroft Elementary.

Looking ahead, Sacramento City Unified School District plans to use community feedback as part of its ongoing efforts to involve stakeholders in important decisions affecting local schools.
