Sacramento artists and cultural workers experiencing financial hardship can apply for scholarships to attend the 2026 CA Arts & Culture Summit, according to a March 9 announcement.

The scholarships aim to help local creatives participate in statewide networking, professional development, and policy discussions by reducing financial barriers. The opportunity is open only to residents living within Sacramento city limits, with City of Sacramento employees not eligible.

“Expanding access to statewide arts convenings ensures Sacramento’s creative community is represented in key policy conversations,” said Jason Jong, cultural and creative economy manager. “These scholarships help reduce financial barriers so local artists and cultural workers can participate.”

The Fourth Annual CA Arts & Culture Summit will take place on Monday, April 20 at the Memorial Auditorium and SAFE Credit Union Convention Center as part of Arts, Culture and Creativity Month. This year’s theme is “Boundless Culture & Creativity: The Essence of Freedom,” with a subtheme of “Building Joy, Action + Power.” Programming will focus on civic engagement, advocacy, and coalition building.

In addition to the scholarship program for Sacramento residents, a reduced-price Artist Ticket is available statewide at $190 for artists, creative workers, and students—significantly lower than the $375 general admission rate. Applications for scholarships will be accepted until funds are fully dispersed or through Friday, March 20.

Funding for these scholarships comes from Measure U Arts Stabilization funds. More information about eligibility and how to apply can be found on the CA Arts & Culture Summit website.
