SMUD offices will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025, in observance of Labor Day. Regular business hours are set to resume on Tuesday, September 2.

Customers experiencing power issues are advised to contact SMUD and provide their address, phone number, nearest cross street, and a brief description of the problem.

Customers can also use several digital options to view or report outages. These include using the SMUD app, texting “OUT” to MYSMUD (697683) from the primary cell phone associated with their account, visiting smud.org/Outages, or following updates on X at @SMUDUpdates.
