Snap Inc. unveils Lens+ for expanded AR features in Snapchat

Snap Inc. has announced the launch of Lens+, an expansion to its Snapchat+ subscription service. The company reports that over 15 million users currently subscribe to Snapchat+, which provides early and exclusive access to features.

With the introduction of Lens+, subscribers will gain entry to a range of new Lenses and augmented reality (AR) experiences designed for sharing with friends. These additions include Lenses developed by Snap Inc. as well as select creators, such as exclusive AI video Lenses and a new Bitmoji Game Lens. The company plans to release additional AR experiences on a weekly basis.

“More than 15 million Snapchatters now subscribe to Snapchat+, our subscription tier that offers access to early and exclusive features — and now, we’re introducing a new level to Snapchat+ with Lens+,” the company stated.

“In addition to all of the value from our Snapchat+ subscription, Lens+ provides access to hundreds of Lenses and AR experiences that let you play, create, and share Snaps with friends in whole new ways,” according to Snap Inc.

“We’re starting with Lenses built by Snapchat and select creators, including exclusive new AI video Lenses, a brand new Bitmoji Game Lens, and more — and we’ll be adding new AR experiences every week,” the statement added.
