Snapchat is launching Creator Subscriptions, a new feature aimed at increasing engagement between creators and their fans while providing creators with more opportunities to earn revenue. The company will begin alpha testing the subscription service on February 23 with selected U.S.-based Snap Creators, and plans to expand the program to additional Snap Stars in Canada, the United Kingdom, and France in the coming weeks.

According to Snapchat, the platform reached 946 million monthly active users in the fourth quarter of 2025. The number of U.S. users posting content to Spotlight increased by 47% year-over-year during this period, highlighting significant growth and activity within its creator community.

The new subscription model builds on existing monetization tools such as the Unified Monetization Program and Snap Star Collab Studio. With Creator Subscriptions, fans will have access to a premium level of interaction with creators through Stories, Chat, and replies.

“Creator Subscriptions give creators the freedom to experiment, reward their biggest supporters, and build a recurring income stream on Snapchat that grows with their audience,” Snapchat stated in its announcement. “They also offer:”

Creators participating in this program can set their own monthly prices within tiers recommended by Snapchat. This allows them flexibility in determining how they value their communities.

Snapchat described this initiative as part of an ongoing investment in supporting creators’ ability to develop sustainable businesses on its platform. “This launch builds on our continued investment in a creator-first monetization ecosystem–one designed to help creators strengthen relationships with their communities and build sustainable, scalable businesses on Snapchat.”
