December marks a period for reflection and looking back at the past year’s experiences. Snapchat has released its 2025 Snapchat Recap, a personalized short video that showcases highlights from each user’s Snaps, Stories, and Chats over the year. The feature provides users with an individualized review of their interactions and moments shared on the platform.

The company noted that 2025 was marked by themes of friendship, creativity, and connection among its user base. According to Snapchat, friends engaged through various forms of communication, ranging from brief messages to extended calls.

“To help Snapchatters revisit their favorite Memories from 2025, today, we’re dropping this year’s Snapchat Recap. The Snapchat Recap is a short video, individualized for every Snapchatter, with highlights from their Snaps, Stories, and Chats, offering a one-of-a-kind look at how they connected, communicated, and expressed themselves throughout the year.”

The recap aims to give users insight into how they interacted and expressed themselves using the app throughout 2025.
