Registration is now open for the Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment (YPCE) Spring Break Camp, which will run from March 30 to April 3. The camp is designed for children ages 6 to 12 and will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at several community centers throughout the city, including Coloma, Clunie, George Sim, Hagginwood, Oak Park, Pannell and South Natomas.

The program aims to provide a safe and engaging environment for children during school holidays. Activities are based on recreation and play and include both structured and free-choice options such as sports, games, arts and crafts, team-building exercises, STEAM activities and indoor/outdoor adventures.

“Spring Break Camp gives kids a chance to stay active, try new activities and build friendships in a safe and welcoming environment,” said YPCE spokesperson Gabby Miller. “We’re proud to offer an affordable option that supports families while school is out.”

Each camper receives a healthy snack daily. The camp also focuses on fostering a sense of belonging so that every child feels included.

Families can register their children on a daily basis at $10 per day. This allows flexibility for those who may only need care on certain days. Scholarships are available for qualifying families; early application is recommended.
